Inspired by the brilliant green hues of my own Maranta Prayer Plant, I attempted to capture its beauty in still form. These plants move throughout the day with their leaves folding upwards at night and reopening during the day.
The plant's shadow serves as a reminder that this plant dances and you can imagine the shadow creeping along as the sunlight changes.
Created on premium, acid free, fine art paper using colored pencils.

Each piece comes initialed on the bottom right and dated on the back.
